Hong Kong (China) April 2016: Mercedes up to 22.2% share, market down 41%

The Hong Kong new car market is ‘broken’ again this month at -41% year-on-year to just 2.143 registrations leading to a year-to-date total down 52% to 8.839 units. Mazda, Audi, Honda, Nissan, Renault and Volkswagen haven’t reported any sales for April. Toyota dominates the ranking again but drops to 29.7% she vs. 32.7% year-to-date with Mercedes gaining 9% to account for a massive 22.2% of the market, distancing BMW (-55%) and Porsche, ever impressive at 119 sales and 5.6% share (-2%).
