Euphoric month for new car sales in Poland, up a splendid 25% year-on-year in November to 35.264 units, lifting the year-to-date total up 7% to 364.384 units. Overtaken by Volkswagen last month, Skoda reclaims the brands top spot and outpaces the market at +34% to 4.069 units and 11.5% share. Volkswagen for its part lodges another incredible month, completely unaffected by its diesel emissions scandal here, up 46% to 3.823 units and 10.8% share vs. 9.6% so far in 2015. Notice also Ford (+38%), Mercedes (+47%) and Mazda (+36%) also posting spectacular gains. Model-wise, the Skoda Octavia reclaims the pole position it holds year-to-date off the Skoda Fabia at 3.7% share vs. 3.3%, while the Opel Astra, boosted by the new generation slowly creeping into Polish dealerships, outsells its archenemy the VW Golf at 1.037 units vs. 1.034. The Ford Mondeo shoots up 7 spots on last month to #14, the Hyundai Tucson posts a 2nd consecutive month inside the Top 15 at #15, ranking #2 SUV in the country below the Dacia Duster (#13), the Mazda6 jumps back up to #26, the VW Polo is at #30 and the Renault Kadjar breaks into the Polish Top 50 for the first time at #39.
