Taiwan July 2015: Toyota RAV4 and Mazda3 shine
The Mazda3 leaps to 6th place overall in Taiwan in July.

The Taiwanese new car market is up 3% year-on-year in July to 46.803 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 263.130 units, also up 3% on 2014. Toyota is even stronger than usual in the brands ranking, accounting for over one-third of the market at 33.7% share vs. 29.4% year-to-date, while Nissan (11.4%) is back above Mitsubishi (9%) so far in 2015. Mazda is up 3 spots to #4 and 5.7%, mainly thanks to the Mazda3 up to #6 this month and the CX-5 up to #18. Notice also local manufacturer Luxgen strong at #9 and 3.7% share. Model-wise, the Toyota Corolla remains sovereign with a higher-than-average market share at 11.6% vs. 10.2% year-to-date, with the Toyota RAV4 also particularly popular this month in 2nd place and 5.9% vs. 4.4%. In fact the entire Top 5 is identical to the year-to-date ranking with the Toyota Yaris, Wish and Nissan Tiida in tow. The Nissan X-Trail stays inside the Top 10 at #9 and is now #19 year-to-date, the Lexus NX ranks at an excellent 25th place and the Porsche Cayenne is at #52 above the Macan at #55.
