France 1-7 July 2015: Peugeot 308 leads, Fiat 500 in Top 10

The French new car market is up 7% year-on-year over the first week of July, and as is the tradition Peugeot (-2%) and Citroen (+11%) front-load their month whereas Renault at #4 (-17%) is waiting for the last 10 days to register most of its July sales. Fiat triples its sales year-on-year to land in 5th place with 1.805 units because it is loading rental companies with Fiat 500 in anticipation of the facelifted version on sale in the country on July 9. The 500 shoots up to 7th place with 858 sales. Notice also Audi up 7% to #7 and BMW up 23% to #10. In the models ranking, the Peugeot 308 leads the way for now and continues to improve year-on-year at +16% above the Citroen C3 (-16%) while the Citroen C4 Picasso climbs on the podium thanks to deliveries up 45% on the same period in 2014. The VW Polo is up 19% to #4, the Peugeot 208 down 12% to #5, the Peugeot 3008 down 18% to #9 and the Renault Clio down 25% to a paltry 10th spot.
