Bahrain 1st Quarter 2015: Toyota Hilux overtakes Land Cruiser to #1

New car sales in Bahrain are up 11% year-on-year over the 1st Quarter of 2015 to 18.006 registrations. Toyota jumps to an extravagant 45.8% market share, followed by Nissan at 12.4%, while Lexus ranks at a world-best third position overall with 6.3% share above Hyundai (5.6%), Kia (5.2%), Mitsubishi (4.6%) and Honda (3.5%). Model-wise, the Toyota Hilux overtakes both the Prado (-8%) and Land Cruiser (-28%) to land in first place thanks to sales up a fantastic 45% to 1.877 and 10.4% share. The Corolla (+25%), Hiace (+44%) and Yaris (3%) complete a Top 6 100% Toyota, the Lexus LX jumps back up 72% to 7h place overall (a world record), the Mitsubishi Lancer EX is up 10-fold year-on-year to #8 and the Nissan X-Trail leaps up to #13 thanks to the new generation.
