Poland April 2015: Skoda Fabia climbs back up the ladder

The Polish new light vehicle market is up an encouraging 5% in April to 32.586 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 136.209 units, still down 2% on 2014. Brand-wise, Skoda remains sovereign with 11.7% share above Toyota at 9.4% and Volkswagen at 8.6% while Opel is up 28% year-to-date to 4th place, Fiat and Peugeot both gain one spot to #7 and #8 respectively, Nissan falls down from #7 in March to #13 now, Hyundai breaks into the Top 10 and Mazda into the Top 15. If the Skoda Octavia reclaims its traditional pole position off the VW Golf thanks to 1.129 sales, the Fabia is climbing back up the ladder thanks to its new generation: #2 in April with 1.045 deliveries and now #3 year-to-date (3.710) below just the Octavia (4.953) and the Toyota Yaris (3.786).
The Suzuki Vitara is up to #28 in Poland.
Notice also the Toyota Corolla up 11 spots on March to #11, the Ford Mondeo up a further 3 ranks to #17 vs. #31 year-to-date, the Suzuki Vitara landing directly at #28 (292 sales) for its first appearance inside the Polish Top 50, the Mazda6 jumping from outside the Top 50 in March to #29, the Mazda CX-5 up to #45, the Lexus NX up to #46 and the Honda CR-V up to #47.
