Vietnam January 2015: Mazda shines in market up 80%

Explosive start of the year for the Vietnamese new vehicle market: up 80% in January to a record 19,979 registrations. Toyota dominates with 21.3% share, followed closely by Kia at 19.6% while Mazda has a bumper month, overtaking Ford to round up the podium with 8.9% share, placing 3 models inside the Top 10: the CX-5 at #7, the 3 at #9 and the BT-50 at #10. The Toyota Vios confirms the pole position it held over the FY 2014 by selling 1,106 units for a 5.5% market share in January, above the Toyota Corolla Altis particularly strong at 4.2%, the Toyota Innova and Fortuner. Notice also the strong performances of the Kia K3 at #6, Ford Ecosport at #11 and Mazda6 at #16.
