United Arab Emirates Full Year 2014: Toyota Hilux overtakes Prado

The Emirati new car market is up by a solid 7% year-on-year in 2014, still largely dominated by Toyota at 33.1% share above Nissan (16%), Mitsubishi particularly strong at 8.9%, Hyundai (5.7%), Ford (4.1%) and BMW (4%). Thanks to sales up by an estimated 17%, the Toyota Hilux takes the lead of the UAE models ranking this year with 5.2% share, overtaking the Toyota Prado at 4.9% while the Toyota Land Cruiser passes the Corolla to establish itself in third position. Just below we witness very robust results from the Nissan Patrol (+54%), Toyota Yaris (+56%) and Mitsubishi Pajero (+26%).
