Poland February 2015: Skoda Octavia leads, Ford Focus up to 2nd place

Given at the same time last year the Polish new car market was boosted by VAT-exemptions for cars purchased as LCV by companies, February is logically down 10% year-to-date to 32,302 registrations, taking the year-to-date total down into negative as well at 65,243 units (-4%). Skoda remains atop the brands ranking with 12% share above Toyota (9.7%), Volkswagen (8.6%), Ford (7.9%) and Opel (7.8%). In the models sales charts, the Skoda Octavia is sovereign, the only nameplate to clock up over 1,000 sales this month at 1,242 and 3.8% share. The Ford Focus is February’s best performer, up 8 spots on last month to 2nd place overall thanks to 948 sales and 2.9% share, followed closely by the Toyota Yaris and Skoda Rapid – the latter earning a third spot overall in the result vs. #8 over the FY2014. Further down, notice the Seat Ibiza at #22, Suzuki SX4 S-Cross at #31 and Dacia Sandero at #40.
