New car sales in Indonesia have plateaued this year with October down 6% year-on-year to 105,357 registrations, however the year-to-date total is still evolving at all-time high levels – for now: up 1.8% on 2013 to 1,038,298 deliveries in 10 months. The Indonesian model sales charts is back to ‘normal’ in October with the podium identical to the YTD ranking and all 3 models slightly below their YTD market shares: the Toyota Avanza is at 12.3% ahead of the Honda Mobilio at 6.8% and the Toyota Agya at 5.1% – once again way above its twin the Daihatsu Ayla at #9 and 3.1%. The Toyota Kijang Innova, once the overall best-seller in the country, is stuck in 7th position vs. #4 YTD, below the Daihatsu Gran Max Pickup, Suzuki Ertiga and Carry Pickup. For the second month in a row, the Datsun GO+ finishes the month one rank away from the brand’s first Top 10 ranking worldwide, selling a record 2,880 units for a 2.7% market share. It’s only a matter of time now…
