For the first time on BSCB I can share with you detailed data for electric cars in Norway, the country in the world with the highest share of this type of vehicles. In September 1.298 new electric cars found a home in Norway, that’s 11% of the overall passenger car market, bringing the year-to-date total to 13,737 units, a 13% share. The Nissan Leaf is the best-seller this month with 367 sales, enabling it to reclaim the year-to-date lead off the Tesla Model S at 3,745 units vs. 3,535. The VW e-Golf lands in 2nd place with 220 sales or 1 in every 4 new Golf sold in Norway, and the VW e-Up rounds up the podium with 214 units or 74% of all Up sold.
