Poland August 2014: Skoda Fabia #1, Ford Ka in Top 20

Sales of new passenger and light commercial vehicles in Poland are up a robust 6% year-on-year in August to 22,998 units, bringing the year-to-date total to 246,719 units, up a beautiful 15% on 2013. Brand-wise, Skoda and Volkswagen maintain their stranglehold and add up to 20% share, Toyota is back to the #3 spot it holds year-to-date with the Top 6 in actual fact identical to the ytd ranking. In the models ranking, the Skoda Fabia edges out the Octavia for only 4 units just as the 2015 model was unveiled but stay way below year-to-date at 7,212 sales and 2.9% vs. 9,567 and 3.9% for the Octavia. The Toyota Yaris is up 5 spots on July to #4, the Fiat Ducato up 3 to #8, the Renault Mégane is back up from outside the July Top 50 directly to #13, the Ford Ka is up a huge 31 ranks to #18, the Mazda3 holds at #23 vs. #41 ytd, the Suzuki SX4 S-Cross is up 13 spots to #25, the Opel Mokka up 8 to #31 and the Dacia Dokker reappears inside the Top 50 best-sellers in Poland at #50.
