After a one month-hiatus, Austria is back on BSCB! The Austrian new car market is down 4% year-on-year to 29,702 registrations, bringing the First Quarter total to 81,281 units, still up 2% on 2013. The new Austrian data source combines VW Golf and Golf Plus sales and put together these two models sell a huge 2,350 units this month or a 7.9% market share vs. 6% year-to-date. The Skoda Octavia passes the VW Polo to claim the 2nd spot both this month and year-to-date while the VW Tiguan is up two ranks on February to #4. The hero of the month is the Renault Mégane up to a fantastic 5th place (a rank it also held in February) thanks to 706 sales for a 2,4% share. Notice also the Nissan Qashqai back to #11 thanks to the new model, the Seat Leon up to #12 and the Opel Zafira at #18.

  1. Great, yet another country that has stopped providing full data for free. Don’t you just hate it? I have a feeling that figure for the Mégane might include the Scénic though…

  2. Nice to see Austria back, Renault are doing well, two models in the top ten, Mazda is doing well also, outselling Toyota and Nissan
