It has now been almost one year (11 months exactly) that the Slovenian new car market shows year-on-year improvement, with February at +6% to 4,047 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 8,693 units, also up 6% on 2013. After dropping to a shocking 5th place below the Captur last month, the Renault Clio reclaims its traditional Slovenian pole position both in February with 286 sales and 7.1% and year-to-date at 472 units and 5.4%. Volkswagen completes the podium by placing the Golf at #2 with a strong 5.6% market share and the Polo at #3 with 3.9%. Below the Skoda Octavia stable at #4, the Renault Captur delivers another outstanding month at #5 and the Skoda Rapid confirms it is now a Top 10 regular at #6.
The Nissan Juke is up an impressive 28 spots on January to land in 7th place with 118 sales and 2.9%, this is however not the model’s best-ever ranking in Slovenia: it reached #5 in December 2012. The Fiat 500L for its part does hit its highest ever position in the country, coming from outside the Top 100 in January directly into the #8 spot thanks to 94 sales for a 2.3% market share. Other great performers this month in Slovenia include the Fiat Panda up 35 ranks on January to #12, the Seat Leon up 16 to #17, Seat Ibiza at #21 again vs. #43 over the Full Year 2013, the Citroen C3 Picasso up 18 to #22 and the Citroen C4 Picasso up 20 to #26.
