The Croatian new car market is up a very satisfying 22% year-on-year in February to a still very shy 2,185 registrations, bring the year-to-date total to 4,265 units, up 18% on 2013. Volkswagen continues to dominate the brands sales charts with no real competition at 15.8% market share vs. 9.3% for Peugeot (#2) and 7.9% for Citroen (#3). No surprises in the models ranking: the VW Golf is on top once again thanks to 125 sales and 5.7%. It is followed this time and like over the Full year 2013 by its lil sis the VW Polo at 107 units and 4.9%, kicking the Skoda Octavia down to third place with 87 sales and 4%.
But the best performers this month in Croatia are to be found a little lower in the ranking: the Citroen C4 and C3 are both up from outside the Top 20 in January to #4 with 3.1% share and #5 at 2.8% respectively. The Mazda3 for its part is up a further 6 spots on January to reach an outstanding 6th position, by far the best European ranking of the new generation so far with 60 sales and 2.7%.
