Pakistan Full Year 2013: Suzuki Mehran catches up to Corolla

The Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association communicates each month the sales of locally produced models, which is a pretty accurate representation of the most popular new cars in the country as imports are still relatively limited. 139,022 local models found a buyer in Pakistan in 2013, down 10% on 2012. The Toyota Corolla remains the most popular model in the country in spite of sales down 14% to 33,054 units and 23.8% share, while the Suzuki Mehran is catching up, down just 5% to 31,305 sales and 22.5% share.

Honda City

Way, way below, the Suzuki Cultus is up 2 spots and 12% year-on-year to #3 at 14,370 units and 10.3%, just above the Suzuki Bolan at 13,934 sales and a round 10% share, down 28% on 2012. But the biggest progressions in the Top 10 are delivered by the Honda City, up a fantastic 66% on 2012 to 5th place and 9% share and the Honda Civic up 74% to #7. The Toyota Fortuner lands at #10 and the Hyundai Shehzore at #12.
