The podium is back to being 100% German this year, with Volkswagen still by far the most popular carmaker with sales down 10% to an estimated 6,072 units – both my sources display 6,721 which is actually VW’s 2012 sales figure…

It is followed by Audi at 4,696 units and an outstanding 10.1% share and BMW up one spot but down 7% to #3 and 4,480 sales. In fact, below Renault down a harsh 11% to #4, Mercedes is up one spot and 2% to #5 with 3,333 sales and 7.1% share, making it 3 premium German brands in the Luxembourg Top 5 this year, adding up to a gargantuan 26.8% market share! Notice also Peugeot down 31%, Citroen down 19%, Fiat up 32% and Nissan up 25%.
