As an appetiser to the overall Germany models ranking, I can share with you today the Private Sales charts. The favourites are unchanged with a very stable top of the ranking: the VW Golf dominates with 7,667 sales and 41% PSR (Private Sales Ratio), ahead of the VW Polo at 4,529 and 68%, the Mercedes B-Class at 3,017 and 72% and the VW Tiguan at 2,972 and 60%. The Mercedes A-Class passes the Skoda Fabia to rank #5 while the Mercedes E-Class is up 7 spots to land at #8 with 1,999 sales but a low 36% PSR.
In fact, Mercedes places no less than 4 models inside the PS Top 10 this month in Germany, that’s more than Volkswagen! The Dacia Sandero continues to deliver out-of-this-world scores: it ranks #14 again with 1,585 sales and a huge 93% PSR. The Opel Adam is up 10 spots to a satisfying 22nd place at 1,279 units and 47% PSR, becoming the brand’s best-seller with private buyers!
The other models delivering very high PSR are the Dacia Duster at #33 (86%), Skoda Yeti at #27 (77%), Fiat Ducato at #34 (71%) and Ford Kuga at #29 (68%). At the other end of the scale, only 23% of BMW 3 Series buyers were private in July in Germany, 24% for the Opel Astra, 27% for the Opel Corsa, 35% for the VW Touran and Skoda Octavia and 41% for the Audi A3 and VW Golf.
