Netherlands LCV June 2013: VW Transporter reclaims lead

New Light Commercial Vehicle sales are down a painful 21% year-on-year in the Netherlands in June to just 4,207 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 28,517 units, down 14% on 2012. For the first time this year, the VW Transporter is the best-seller in June thanks to 369 sales and 8.8% but remains #2 year-to-date at 3,177 units and 11.1% vs. 3,389 and 11.9% for the VW Caddy, #2 this month with 344 sales and 8.2%.

Excellent showing for the Mercedes Vito, up 5 spots on May to land in third position at 262 units and 6.2%, just above the Mercedes Sprinter at 260 sales and the Peugeot Partner at 239 units and 5.7%. The Opel Vivaro continues to shine at #6 while the Fiat Doblo is up to #14 and 2.7% vs. #20 and 1.8% year-to-date. We welcome a newcomer in the Top 30 this month: the Dacia Dokker landing at #26 with 35 sales and 0.8%.
