Lithuania Full Year 2012: Only country to crown Fiat 500

Better late than never! Today thanks to Mangis I can share with you Full Year 2012 rankings for Lithuania. The Lithuanian new car market is down 9% year-on-year in 2012 to 13,763 registrations including Light Commercial Vehicles. #2 in 2011, the Fiat 500 becomes the most popular vehicle in the country in 2012 thanks to 683 sales and 5% share, making Lithuania the only country in the world to crown the Fiat 500 in a 2012 year-end ranking!
The VW Golf is up to #2 at 469 units and 3.4% whereas the Nissan Qashqai loses its title and drops to #3 with 435 sales and 3.2%, down a painful 52% on 2011. Volkswagen is the best-selling brand at 2,380 units and 17.3% ahead of Toyota (9%) and Skoda (8.8%). The German manufacturer also places the Jetta at #6, Passat at #7 and Caddy at #10, while Skoda has the Yeti at #4 and Octavia at #5.
