Still not much daylight to inspect a new car in dealerships this month in Iceland, even then 420 new vehicles found a buyer in the country in February. And it would seem that the Icelandic market is going back to where its heart truly belongs: SUVs. This category used to dominate the models ranking before the 2008 financial crisis that skewed sales towards superminis. These times are gone: the Chevrolet Captiva takes the lead in February thanks to 25 sales and 5.9% share, ahead of the Kia Sportage at 22 units and 5.2%, with the Hyundai Santa Fe at #5, Honda CR-V at #6, Subaru Forester at #9 and Nissan Qashqai at #10. In spite of dropping one spot vs. last month to #3, the Toyota Yaris reclaims the year-to-date leadership.
