Thanks to Ran from www.cartube.co.il, Israel has now become a complete monthly update on BestSellingCarsBlog! I really love it when this type of thing happens. In January the Israeli new car market is up a healthy 12% year-on-year to 22,539 registrations. The Ford Focus confirms it is the favourite choice of Israeli consumers and holds the top spot again with 1,645 sales and 7.3%. However this month it is followed by the Hyundai i30, up 8 spots on its FY2012 ranking to #2 at 1,125 units and 5% share vs. 2.2% in 2012. The Hyundai i20 rounds up the podium with 943 sales and 4.2%, a full percentage point better than its FY 2012 share, and the Kia Picanto is at an excellent #4, making it 3 Koreans in the Top 4 this month in Israel…
The Renault Fluence is also in great shape this month, up to #6 at 762 units and 3.4%, as is the Nissan Micra up to #11 vs. #16 in 2012, the Mazda CX-5 up to a fantastic #13 vs. #30 in 2012, the Opel Astra up to #15 vs. #32, Suzuki Splash up to #19 vs. #25 and the Suzuki Alto up to #21 vs. #31. Leader for at least 7 consecutive years up until 2011, the Mazda3 is now plummetting down the Israeli sales charts: it ranks #23 in January.
Further down the ranking, notice also the Mitsubishi Outlander up to #33 vs. #70 in 2012, the Skoda Citigo up to #40 vs. #146, Audi Q5 at #44 vs.#104, Citroen C1 at #45 vs. #87, BMW 3 Series at #51 vs. #120 and the Seat Mii at #54 vs. #172. Finally, the Peugeot 301 lands directly within the Israeli Top 50 this month at #50 with 97 sales and 0.4% share.
