Sales of new Light Commercial Vehicles in France are down 12% year-on-year in September to 30,032 units (compared to a Passenger Car market down 18%), bringing the year-to-date total to 287,202 units, down 8% on 2011 but still the biggest LCV market in Europe. The Renault Kangoo delivers its best market share since monthly figures became accessible in April 2011 at 13.1% thanks to 3,947 sales, adding up to 28,484 and 9.9% year-to-date.
The Renault Clio is faithful to its traditional #2 spot at 2,450 units and 8.2%, followed by the Renault Master up 2 ranks to #3, the Citroen Berlingo stable at #4 and the Peugeot Partner up one to #5. In third place last month, the Peugeot 208 is down to #7 in September with 1,379 sales and 4.6% and now ranks #17 year-to-date. Other good performers include the Citroen Nemo at #13, the Fiat Doblo at #18, Ford Ranger at #41, VW Amarok at #47 and Fiat Strada at #79.
Note sales of Dacia Dokker and Lodgy are not yet available as neither model ranks within the Year-to-date Top 100 yet but expect them to climb up the ladder very fast over the next couple of months, particularly the Dokker which undercuts the Renault Kangoo in price and offers more loading space…
