Japan by version July 2012: Corolla in Top10, Mitsu Mirage lands

Note this is not August 2012 sales figures yet, but a more detailed look at overall July sales of both passenger and Kei cars split by version, to see how the Toyota Prius Alpha and Honda Fit Shuttle perform among other things. One more month dominated by the Toyota Aqua at a massive 26,274 sales, followed by the Honda NBOX at 21,837 while the Toyota Prius is back on the podium for the first time since March with 21,720 units.

Toyota Spade

The Honda Fit is up two spots to #4, ahead of the Suzuki Wagon R and Daihatsu Tanto. In line with its performance in the Passenger Car ranking, the Toyota Corolla is back in the overall Top 10 thanks to the new generation, up from #30 in May to 12,700 sales. The Suzuki Every Wagon maintains itself within the Top 10 at #10 whereas the Nissan March is up 19 spots to #23 and the Subaru Impreza is up 21 to #28.

Further down, notice the Toyota Spade/Porte at #53 with 2,042 sales, the Mazda Flairwagon at #64 with 1,041 units, the Nissan Kix at #90 with 101 sales and the all-new Mitsubishi Mirage making its very first appearance in the ranking at #94 with 5 units sold.
