Czech Republic February 2012: Hyundai i20 improves further

Czech car sales are up 5% in February to 13,544 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 26,465 units, up 8%. The podium stays unchanged and is 100% Skoda again: the Octavia leads at 15.7% share, followed by the Fabia at 8.7% and the Yeti at 2.5% – only the third time ever after September 2011 and last month the Yeti manages to climb onto the podium.
Outstanding performance of the Hyundai i20, the best-selling foreign model again this month and improving to a best-ever 4th place with 324 sales and 2.4% share. The Skoda Superb is down to #5, followed by the Hyundai i30 at 2.2%. Another model hits its highest ranking ever in Czech Republic this month: the Nissan Qashqai up to #7 at 271 units and 2%.
Like in January, there are 3 Hyundais in the Top 10, with the ix20 down 2 spots to #10. Finally let’s notice the Skoda Citigo up one rank to #16 with 195 sales and 1.4% but still the worst selling Skoda in the country.
