Norway October 2011: VW Tiguan climbs on podium UPDATED

Norwegian car sales are up a healthy 8% this month at 11,543 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 114,438 units, also up 8%. The VW Golf goes from strength to strength with a very robust 5.8% share this month thanks to 667 sales, ahead of the Ford Focus at 428 units and 3.7%, stable on September but now #3 year-to-date.

The VW Tiguan is this month’s best performer, up 9 spots on September to a brilliant 3rd place with 367 sales and 3.2%. The VW Passat and Skoda Octavia are both up 1 spot on last month at 3.1% share, whereas the Volvo V70 is down 2 spots at 2.8%. The Ford Mondeo and Toyota Auris are up 2 spots to #8 and #9 respectively.

Other good October performers in Norway are the Audi A3, up 18 spots to #13, the Skoda Superb up 20 spots to #16, the BMW 5 Series up 9 spots to #21 and the Subaru Forester up 30 spots to #29. The Mitsubishi ASX has another weak month at #24 and is now down to #4 year-to-date.
