Venezuela July 2011: Ford F350 on podium
Fragile month for car sales in Venezuela, down 11% year-on-year at 10,325 registrations, bringing the 2011 total to 67,359 units, down 4%. No surprises on top: the Chevrolet Aveo is still distant leader but sees its market share drop by 5 percentage points on June at a still commendable 15.5% thanks to 1,602 sales. The Aveo holds 17% of the Venezuelan market year-to-date.
The Ford Fiesta stays 2nd and improves its share again to 10.9%. The best performance of the month goes to the huge Ford F350, up 2 spots on an already outstanding June at #3 with 631 sales and 6.1% share. It is now #5 year-to-date at 3.9%. The newly launched Ford F250 also shines: up 10 spots to #11 at 289 units and 2.8%.
Other great performers this month include the Mitsubishi Lancer (the previous generation is still on sale in the country) at #5, the Hyundai Getz at #7, the and the Peugeot 207 at #15.
