Czech Republic January 2011: Duster #10, Hyundai ix20 #19

11,678 new cars were registered in Czech Republic in January, up 8%. Skoda is on each step of the podium with the Octavia #1 at 16.2% share, the Fabia #2 at 9.3% and the Superb #3 at a superb 4.1%.

The Renault Thalia is back to its historical level in the country in 4th place at 3.1%, and the Dacia Duster breaks into the Top 10 at #10 with 191 sales (1.6%), the Czech Republic being only the 3rd country in the world to welcome the Dacia SUV model in its Top 10 after Romania and Spain.

Built in Nošovice, near the Polish border in Czech Republic’s East, the new Hyundai ix20 breaks into the Top 20 this month at #19 with 124 sales and 1.1% of the market, whereas its twin the Kia Venga is #24 at 1%.
