Peru 2005: Toyota places Hilux, Yaris & Corolla on top

With 16,494 registrations during the first 9 months of 2005, the Peruvian market is up 48% over the same period in 2004. It is the best year since the record established in 1998 (34,697 registrations). Toyota dominates with a 28% market share: it places the Hilux on top of the general ranking (1,483 sales and 9%) and the Yaris (1,026 sales) and Corolla (697 sales) on top of the passenger cars ranking.
The Nissan Frontier is the 3rd vehicle to sell over 1,000 units over the period (1,027), whereas the Suzuki Grand Nomade (aka Vitara) is the best selling 4WD and 5th overall with 455 sales.
