Spain 2002: Ford Focus most popular
The Ford Focus is the best-selling vehicle in Spain for the first time.
2002 volumes are down -7.2% in Spain to 1.308.877 units. Renault (-6.6%) remains the most popular brand with Citroen (-4.4%) up 3 spots to #2 ahead of Peugeot (-6.1%), Opel (-11.9%) and Seat (-9.3%). Model-wise, the Ford Focus (-5.4%) resists better than most and takes control of the Spanish charts for the first time with 5% share, just above the Seat Ibiza (-9.7%) at 4.9%, the Peugeot 206 (-14.4%) at 4.8% and the Opel Astra (-6.7%) at 4.5%. For its first full year of sales the Peugeot 307 leaps up 16 spots to #5. The Renault Scenic (+17.8%) is the only other Top 10 model in positive. Citroen (-8.8%) and the Renault Kangoo (-16.2%) remains the LCV charts leaders.
