Ireland 1992: Ford (+3.5%) advances past Toyota (-5%)

The new generation Escort helps Ford to #1 brand in Ireland.

New car sales in Ireland edge up 0.9% year-on-year in 1992 to 68.359. This year Ford (+3.5%) overtakes Toyota (-5%) to snap the brands pole position, while Opel (+15.8%) is back above Nissan (-5.3%) to return on the podium. Below, VW/Audi (+5.1%), Mazda (+1.1%) and Peugeot (+2.1%) camp on their 1991 rankings while Renault (+7.2%) is up one spot to #8 and Honda (+17%) breaks into the Top 10.
