After plunging to #9 in June, Toyota flamboyantly takes the lead of the brands ranking thanks to deliveries up 134% to 11.5% market share – it now ranks #3 YTD – frankly distancing the year-to-date leader Ford, down 22% to 8.6% and equal 2nd with Peugeot (+40%). Dacia disappoints with a 12% decline to #4, whereas Nissan (+130%), Hyundai (+89%) and Isuzu (+79%) post spectacular gains within the Top 10. Further down, notice also Mazda (+41%), Chevrolet (+59%), Volkswagen (+60%), Jeep (+80%), Suzuki (+89%) and Mitsubishi (+113%). Model-wise, the Ford Ranger is in the lead for the 2nd month running with 5.5% of the market but still remains a fair distance below the Dacia Duster in the year-to-date ranking (5% vs. 5.7% share). The Isuzu D-Max (#2), Toyota Hilux (#3) and Nissan Navara (#5) make it four pickup trucks inside the Top 5. Notice also the Toyota RAV4 up to #10, the Peugeot Partner up to #14 and the Subaru XV up to #19.
