Europe June 2016: Discover the Top 345 models & Top 53 brands

Very first appearance of the MG GS in the European sales charts in June.

After preliminary figures at the end of July, we can now share with you detailed and final data for Europe in June. The overall market is still up 6.5% to 1.507.303 units, leading to a H1 2016 tally up 9% to 8.090.870. Volkswagen (-1%) and Renault (+21%) lead the brands charts but Opel/Vauxhall (+2%) passes Ford (-4%) compared to the preliminary data. BMW and Mercedes, both up 16%, remain above Audi, stable with Fiat (+14%) and Skoda (+8%) rounding out the Top 10. Outside, Hyundai (+12%), Jeep (+18%), Smart (+18%), Alfa Romeo (+22%), Mazda (+23%), Suzuki (+24%), Honda (+43%) and Jaguar (+74%) stand out in the Top 30 while among smaller brands Ssangyong (+37%), MG (+44%), Lamborghini (+46%), Lexus (+60%), Lada (+154%) and Infiniti (+251%) are among the most impressive.

The Alfa Romeo Giulia breaks into the European Top 200 this month. 

Model-wise, the only difference with the original Top 20 ranking is the Opel Mokka at #20, knocking the Fiat Panda down to #21. Below, the Renault Kadjar is up 208% to hit its highest European ranking so far at #24 (previous best: #29 last March), the BMW 1 Series is up 10 spots on May to #29, the VW Touran up 64% to #37, the Fiat 500X up 45% to #42, BMW 2 Series Tourer up 39% to #44, Skoda Superb up 128% to #50 and BMW X1 up 58% to #52. Among recent launches, the Mercedes GLC is up 10 spots on last month to #76, the Fiat Tipo is down 4 spots on #93, the Renault Talisman up 18 to #117, the Suzuki Baleno up 9 to #150, the Jaguar F-Pace up 19 to #159, the Infiniti Q30 up 19 to #180, the Alfa Romeo Giulia up 55 to #187 and the Seat Ateca up 39 to #206.

The Fiat 124 Spider is one of six new nameplates in the European charts in June. 

Finally we welcome no less than six new nameplates in the June European ranking: the Fiat 124 Spider at #211, the Volvo S90/V90 at #249, the MG GS at #282, Kia Niro at #285, Hyundai Ioniq at #300 and Mercedes GLC Coupé at #313.
