Belgium November 2015: Renault Scénic and Clio on top

Age not an issue: the Renault Scénic is up 80% to become the best-seller in Belgium.

Very strong showing for new light vehicle sales in Belgium: up 21% year-on-year in November to 40.851 units, lifting the year-to-date total to 527.642 registrations including LCVs, up 4% on 2014. Renault delivers an impressive 1-2 with the ageing Scénic taking the lead at 1.066 sales, up a flamboyant 80% on November 2014, while the Clio is down one spot on October to #2 with 954 units, up an equally impressive 62% year-on-year. Absolutely all 316 other nameplates on sale in Belgium are below 2.3% market share, making this market one of the two most fragmented in the world along with Switzerland. The VW Golf sinks 14% to #3 but remains #1 year-to-date, the Audi A3 is up 63% to #4 and the BMW 1 Series up a whopping 115% to #5. Notice also the VW Passat up 225% to #9, the Volvo V40 up 60% to #14 and the Hyundai Tucson solid at #24.
