Uruguay October 2015: Suzuki up 70% in market down 8

The Celerio continues to help Suzuki to the top of the Uruguayan market.

New car sales in Uruguay are down 8% year-on-year in October to 3.917 units, however this month the fall is accentuaed by the fact Chery did not communicate its sales figures for October. With Chery, the market should fall by just 5%. Year-to-date the picture is similar with sales down 7% to 40.292 units. Suzuki (+70%) and Volkswagen (+52%) defy the odds with spectacular year-on-year gains in a lukewarm market. Fiat is also up this month (+13%) but falls hard year-to-date (-24%), while Chevrolet and Nissan implode, both down 37%.
