Philippines 6 months 2014: Toyota & Ford outpace market up 28%

According to data compiled by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI), the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) and the Association of Vehicle Importers and Distribution (AVID), the Philippine new car market is up a fantastic 28% over the first half of 2014 to a record 126,659 registrations. Toyota is ultra-dominant once again and even outpaces the market with sales up a gigantic 39% on the same period in 2013 to 48,291 units and 38.1% share. Mitsubishi follows (+18%) ahead of Hyundai (+6%) while Ford is up an excellent 42% in 4th place with 8,864 sales and 7% share. Notice also Kia up 46%, Chevrolet up 79% and Mazda up 58%.
