After 13 consecutive months of year-on-year gains but a 2% drop in May, the Slovenian new car market is back to hell in June: down a harsh 17% year-on-year to 4,826 registrations, which also brings the year-to-date total to 28,238 units, now up only 0.2% on 2013… Overtaken by the VW Polo in May, the Renault Clio reclaims its traditional throne this month thanks to 319 sales and 6.6% share, with the VW Polo following at 296 units and 6.1% and the VW Golf rounding out the podium with 230 sales and 4.8%. Weak in May, Dacia catches up on lost sales and more this month: up to #5 brand with 7.3% share vs. #8 and 3.9% year-to-date, shooting the Sandero up 33 spots to #6 and the Duster up 40 to #9! Notice also the Nissan Qashqai up 33 to #17, the Ford C-Max up 22 to #18, the VW Golf Sportsvan up 29 to #33 for its 2nd month of sales in the country and the Opel Adam breaking into the Slovenian Top 50 for the first time at #45.
