France 1-9 April 2014: Citroen C3 and Dacia Duster shine

The Citroen C3 starts the month well at home.

New car sales are up 3.5% year-on-year in France over the first 9 days of April, and as is the tradition Renault starts weakly (#3 brand) as the manufacturer always backloads its sales towards the end of the month. The Citroen C3 even takes the lead over the period thanks to sales up 24% year-on-year to 1,811 units. The Renault Clio IV (+8%) is already above the Peugeot 208 down a harsh 45% year-on-year at #3. The VW Polo shines at +37% in 4th place as do the Peugeot 308 up 70% to #5 and the Dacia Duster up 186% to #6. Notice also the Toyota Yaris pointing its bonnet in 10th position with 1,050 sales, up 23% on 2013.
