Another heart-warming month for the Portuguese new car market: February is up 40% year-on-year to 10,546 registrations, the 8th consecutive month of year-on-year gain, bringing the year-to-date total to 19,807 units, up 36% on 2013. The Top 3 most popular vehicles are identical to the FY2013 ranking this month: the Renault Clio leads at 4.7% share followed by the Peugeot 208 at 4.6% and the VW Polo at 3.9% while the Opel Corsa is back up 10 spots on January to #4 and 3%. The performance of the month goes once again to the Mercedes A-Class down one spot to a still extremely impressive 5th place thanks to 313 sales and 3% share. This means the A-Class is the leader in the compact category, ahead of the VW Golf (#6) and BMW 1 Series (#7)!
