The Polish new car market is up a reassuring 4% year-on-year in November to 27,707 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 297,870 units, up 5% on 2012. The Skoda Octavia celebrates its third consecutive month atop the models ranking (and 7th time in the last 12 months) thanks to 1,173 sales and 4.2% share vs. 928 and 3.3% for the Skoda Fabia. After 11 months this year, the Fabia adds up to 10,823 units vs. 10,592 for the Octavia, both models commending an identical 3.6% market share! This means that if the Octavia reproduces exactly the same lead over its little sister as in November (245 units), it could claim the Full Year 2013 pole position in-extremis by a dozen units! Reversely, if the Fabia stays ahead, it will be its first #1 ranking in a Full Year in Poland since 2008… Needless to say this is one of the closest finish Polish sales charts have ever witnessed!
Slowly but surely the 4th generation helps the Renault Clio makes its way towards the top of the Polish models ranking: it is up one further spot on an already outstanding month of October to land in third place with 832 sales and 3%, by far the best market share this generation has achieved so far. The Ford Fiesta bounces back from a horrid October score and is up 26 ranks to #5 vs. #17 year-to-date, the Skoda Superb reiterates an extremely solid month at #11 vs. #24, as does the Renault Master at #14 vs. #23 while the Renault Captur is back up 4 spots to #26 and the Seat Leon makes a rare appearance within Poland’s 50 most popular cars at #44.
