The Greek new car market has alternated positive and negative months almost at every turn so far in 2013, so it won’t come as a surprise to see October down 3% year-on-year to 4,971 registrations after being up 10% in September… This fall is actually less dramatic than the mid-month figures would have suggested. For the 6th time this year, the Toyota Yaris is the most popular model in the country, delivering its best market share since last January at 8.2% thanks to 409 sales and reinforcing its year-to-date lead at 3,173 units and 6.5%. The Opel Corsa drops one spot on September to #2 while the Hyundai i20 is up 5 to #3 and the VW Polo down one to #4. Further down, notice the Seat Ibiza up 28 ranks to #10, the Audi A3 very solid once again at #11 vs. #20 year-to-date and the Volvo V40 up 7 spots to #13 vs. #26 year-to-date.
