Another very satisfying month for new car sales in Poland, up a splendid 21% year-on-year in October to 30,440 registrations, which brings the year-to-date total to 270,163 units, up 5% on 2012. Outstanding performance of Skoda shooting up to 14.3% market share: double any other brand in the country this month! Both the Skoda Octavia, #1 for the 5th time this year with 1,431 sales and 4.7%, and the Skoda Fabia, #2 at 1,286 units and 4.2%, are above their year-to-date levels with the Fabia still in control so far in 2013 in spite of landing the pole position only 3 times.
But the best performer in the Top 10 is the Skoda Superb, up 12 spots on September to #8 with 542 sales and 1.8%, almost assuredly the nameplate’s first time inside the Polish Top 10. Notice also the Renault Clio up 3 ranks to #4, the Peugeot Partner up 6 to #12, Renault Master up 10 to #14, Opel Insignia up 26 to #23, Skoda Roomster up to #37, Mitsubishi ASX up to #41 and the Skoda Yeti up to #48.
