Finally a reliable models ranking available for the Philippines, even though it’s coming with a bit of delay. Over the first half of 2013, a record 102,571 new vehicles were registered in the country, up 16% on 2012 and the first time the 100,000 sales-milestone is passed after just 6 months. The Toyota Vios is the most popular model in the Philippines once again with 8,895 sales and 8.7% share, including 3,129 over the last 2 months, and should reinforce its leadership over the second half of the year now that the new generation of the model is on sale in the country. In fact the Top 4 is unchanged compared to the Full Year 2012 ranking: the Toyota Innova is #2 at 7,331 units and 7.1%, followed by the Mitsubishi Montero Sport at 6,969 and 6.8% and the Toyota Fortuner at 6,364 and 6.2%.

Only #47 in 2012, the Ford Ranger shoots up to #12 so far in 2013 thanks to 2,139 sales. Other big gainers over the period include the Ford Everest up to #17, Honda CR-V up to #20, Hyundai Santa Fe up to #24, the Chevrolet Trailblazer landing directly at #30, Chevrolet Colorado at #35 and the Toyota 86 at a fantastic 39th place with 373 sales!
