Mexico May 2013: Nissan Versa back on podium

The Mexican new car market is up 9% year-on-year in May to 87,518 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 418,274 units, also up 9% on 2012. 18th month in a row in pole position for the Chevrolet Aveo thanks to 5,643 sales and 6.4%, it is followed once again by the VW Clasico at 4,771 units and 5.5% (its best share so far this year) while the Nissan Versa is back on the podium at #3 with 3,924 sales and 4.5%.

The Chevrolet Spark remains solid in 5th place at 2,809 units and 3.2%, the Nissan Chasis Largo is back inside the Top 10 at #8 while among recent launches, the Chevrolet Trax, Sonic and Renault Duster seem to now have plateaued at 1.5%, 1.4% and 0.8% share respectively.
