Vietnam March 2013: Toyota Fortuner back in charge

After one month hiatus, Vietnam is back on BestSellingCarsBlog and new car sales in the country are down 2% year-on-year in March to 7,648 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 18,690, up 3% on 2012. #1 over the Full Year 2012 but kept away from the top spot so far in 2013, the Toyota Fortuner is back in charge of the Vietnamese models ranking in March thanks to 610 sales and an excellent 8% share. The Toyota Innova is up 3 spots on January to #2 at 430 units and 5.6% while the hero of this start of the year, the Toyota Camry is down to #3 with 399 sales and 5.2%.
The Camry now shares the year-to-date #1 spot with the Fortuner, both selling 1,429 units in 3 months for a 7.6% share. Other great performers this month in Vietnam include the Honda CR-V up to #11 with 113 sales and 1.5%, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport up 16 ranks on January to #12 at 101 units and 1.3% and the Mazda CX-5 up 6 to #19 with 58 sales and 0.8%.
