An estimated 1,758 new light vehicles found a buyer in Bulgaria in February, bringing the year-to-date total to 3,315 units after 2 months. Traditionally relatively volatile, the Bulgarian models ranking is going nuts this month… As predicted, the Dacia Logan MCV is suffering from a turbulent passing of relay with the new generation, finally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show after indecisions from Renault about its potential deletion from the Dacia range. It is down to #16 this month and leaves a wide open field for other models to shine. The Toyota Auris benefits from the new model and unexpectedly takes the lead both in February with 78 sales and 4.4% share and year-to-date at 107 units and 3.2%. It is followed closely by the Kia Sportage with 53 sales and 3%, adding up to 100 units year-to-date like the Dacia Logan MCV…
The Peugeot Bipper is up 6 spots on January to a fantastic third position with 51 sales and 2.9% and is now #6 year-to-date vs. #139 in 2012! Both absent from the ranking in January, the Great Wall Steed is back up to #4 while the Great Wall Hover ranks 7th. Other great performers include the VW Passat up to #5 vs. #15 in 2012, Dacia Sandero up to #6 vs. #17, VW Golf at #10, BMW 5 Series up to #12 vs. #41, Renault Clio IV up 60 ranks to #19 and the Peugeot 301 stable at #35.
