Argentinean new car sales are up 5% year-on-year in February to 61,107 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 170,817 units, down just 0.1% on 2012. Leader in 2010, 2011 and 2012, the Chevrolet Classic reclaims its traditional pole position this month after the Peugeot 207 Compact passed it in January. It sells 2,935 units for a 4.8% market share and is now also #1 year-to-date with 7,105 sales and 4.2% while the VW Gol Power is back up 6 spots on last month to #2.

The big event in February in Argentina is the third place of the Ford Ecosport boosted by the new model and selling 2,181 units for a 3.6% market share, its first time on the Argentinean podium since April 2011… Other great performers include the Renault Duster at #4 with 3.4% share, the Ford Fiesta Kinetic up 14 ranks to #7, the Renault Clio Mio maintaining itself within the Top 10 at #10 and the Chevrolet S-10 (aka Colorado) passing the VW Amarok for the first time at #22. Two new models land: the Subaru XV at #160 and the Chevrolet Cobalt at #171.
