Sales of new Light Commercial Vehicles are down a painful 22% year-on-year in December in France to 30,764 registrations, bringing the Full Year 2012 total to 384,121 units, down 10% on 2011. No surprise in first place: the Renault Kangoo reigns with 2,508 sales and 8.2%, and for the 2nd month running it is ahead of a Citroen Berlingo in great shape at 1,989 units and 6.5% vs. 5.4% in the Full Year 2012. 3 Renault follow: the Clio, Master and Trafic.

Ford Transit Custom

The Peugeot 208 is up one spot on November to #8 while the Citroen Nemo is up 5 to #13 and 2.5% vs. 1.4% in FY 2012 and the Isuzu D-Max is up 10 to #32. But the big event this month in the French LCV market is the arrival in the Full Year 2012 Top 100 of the Mercedes Citan (based on the Renault Kangoo) at #74 with 270 sales and the Ford Transit Custom at #82 and 227 units. Both models are estimated to have sold over 200 units during December, placing them both within the monthly Top 40.
