Thanks to Stéphane, this month I can share with you once again detailed new car sales data for New Caledonia, a French overseas territory located North-East of Australia. The New Caledonian market is stable in November at 920 registrations, bringing the year-to-date total to 10,338 units, down 4% on 2011. The Ford Ranger reinforces its newly (re)acquired year-to-date lead at 543 sales and 5.3% vs. 487 and 4.7% for the Dacia Duster thanks to an excellent 82 units and 8.9% in November.
The Ranger is however not the #1 vehicle in New Caledonia this month, this title goes to the Nissan Navara with a formidable 96 sales and 10.4% share, enabling it to go up to #5 year-to-date at 343 units and 3.3%. The Toyota Hilux and Renault Clio, #3 and #4 YTD respectively, both lodge solid scores this month, while the VW Golf (#6) and Ford Focus (#11) also excel. The Great Wall Wingle is still the #1 Chinese model in the territory this year at #13 but the DongFeng Utah is catching up, now #14.
