After a 4 month-hiatus,  new car sales data for French territory New Caledonia are back on BSCB thanks to Yves. On the podium over the last couple of years but out of the Top 10 in early 2012 because of the Thai floods, the Toyota Hilux dominates the models ranking in New Caledonia over the May-August 2012 period with 238 sales. #1 over the first 4 months of 2012, the Dacia Duster is down to a still remarkable 2nd place with 171 units sold over the period, adding up to 380 in 2012 which should still secure it the year-to-date pole position.

The cousins Kia Sportage and Hyundai ix35 hold a brilliant respective 3rd and 4th spots with 131 and 127 sales, and are followed by the Renault Clio, Ford Fiesta and Peugeot 206+. #1 over the last 3 years, the Ford Ranger is in changeover mode, with the new generation arriving shortly in New Caledonia. As a result it is down to an unusual #8 over the period. Notice the Great Wall Wingle pointing its bonnet at #10 thanks to 61 sales.
